Current read : You are a badass

I have this habit of checking out 5, 10, 15 books out at a time knowing damn well I would be lucky/impressed if I could just PICK and finish ONE full book.
But I get so excited about all the things I want to read about

and ooo look this self help book ooo look at this romance novel,

and look recipes I won’t actually make but I like to look at the pictures and drool anyway.

My point here is.. not only do I check them out,

I also let them go overdue.. therefore I’m fined for 5, 10, 15 books at a time.

I’m just doing my part to keep this library funded.. that’s all.

So seeing as I’ve racked up quite a fee total at the library.. we’re taking a break. I’ll be back.. but for now.. we need space.

This could be a good thing though!
..because I HAVE books. I OWN books but they just sit on the shelf (or the floor, or my bed or my desk or under some clothes) because I always check out 15 from the library..

So I finally got around to picking one up and reading it and I’m glad that I did.
This is one of the many books I once checked out but never got through.
I started it, liked it, but got distracted as always.. the due date came and I racked up some fees.. and had to return it.
Fast forward to a book sale, I saw it there for $2 so I figured I’d pick it up so whenever I wanted to read I now could without the pressure of a due date looming over my head.

“Okay okay enough already tell us the damn book!”

You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life

Just the title alone: SOLD.

I love a good pep talk book.

Something to remind you… HEY I AM A BADASS.

Now, Warning: I have not finished it… YET.

But I have started it and liked it enough that I felt like sharing.

If you need a little pick me up, read a little bit of this and level up that mood!

I know this is kinda long and I’m rambling

But on the topic of books I did read AND FINISH one recently (if you follow me on instagram or twitter you may have seen me post a picture about it)

It was The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts.

Great read.. I really enjoyed it because that kinda thing is right up my alley.

It talks about married couples but I feel the information can be useful for any sort of personal relationship.

Let me know if you read them!

Have you already read either of these? What’d you think?

What was the last good book you’ve read?
